(draw a picture)… Draw a picture of your favorite character from a book or movie…. -You wake up one morning to find that you have turned into your favorite food, draw a picture of what you look like… -Illustrate words such as up, down, inside, outside, together, apart, crazy…. - Pick a noun from a dictionary or from a hat at random and illustrate it…. -Do a scribble, In it find an animal or any kind of imaginary creature and complete it… -Build something out of paper by folding, cutting, tearing, and gluing… -Do drawings of a model or object displayed in the classroom that show the subject from three different views. - Examine an object for one minute. Put the object away. Then draw a picture of what you remember about it. -Show someone how to do something in a sequence of drawn pictures -Draw a map showing your route from home to school. Include labels on landmarks. -Draw your favorite hero from memory. Include a caption of why you admire that person. -Draw a picture of what it would be like if….. everyone looked the same? animals had people for pets? you had a dragon for a next-door neighbor? cows could fly? people were magnetic? everyone lived on their own island? the oceans were made of chocolate pudding? everyday at 2:00 PM gravity went haywire for twenty minutes? nothing could be thrown away? works of art came to life? -Draw a picture of a machine that would be in a jellybean factory -Design an underground city. -Draw your lunch -Draw yourself. -Draw a small object big. -Draw your hand holding something. -Design a dog-exercising machine. -Draw as many animals as you can on one page. -Draw a picture of an angry sea or a noisy city. The lines you make should help to express the mood of your picture. -Take your shoe off and draw it. -Go through a magazine and cut out a photograph of something you enjoy or find interesting to look at. Draw a picture of this image—only turn it upside down. (This will make you look closely at what you're drawing.) -Show someone how to do something (like making a paper airplane) in a sequence of drawn pictures (with as few words as possible.) -Fill a page with drawings of bugs, sea shells, or something you collect. -Complete and then illustrate one of the following statements: “If only I could...” “What if...” “Wouldn't it be strange if...” -Get out your legos or playdoh and see what creative things you can make. Let you imagination run wild. -Go outside and create some art. Hint: You can use leaves, twigs, rocks and things from nature, or go doodle with your sidewalk chalk. -Find your favorite toy and look closely at the details. Now draw it. Start with its simple shapes then add detail. You’ve made a still life! -Find your favorite book and draw one of the characters from it. -Draw yourself using geometric shapes only. -Go outside and observe the trees. Draw what you see. -It's a spy mission. Draw someone near you without them knowing. -Imagine you’re on a trip to the zoo. You see an animal you’ve never seen before. Draw what it looks like. -Draw what your dream bedroom would look like.
