Pattern
When an element of art repeats in an organized manner it creates a pattern.
Balance
Balance is when artwork shows visual weight. There are three different types of balance.
Variety
When combining different elements of art in new and interesting ways creates variety.
Emphasis
When a certain parts of art stand out thus creating a focal point.
Movement
Movement is creating motion in the artwork with lines, texture, colors, and shapes so your eye moves around the picture in a certain way.
Rhythm
Rhythm is the repetition of lines, shapes, and colors. It looks a lot like a PATTERN but can make the art look like it has energy.
Unity
Unity is joining parts together so they look like they belong together.
Proportion
Proportion is showing size relationships.
